Hanuman’s Post-Conflagration Self-Examination and Assurance of Sita’s Safety
यदि दग्धा त्वियं लङ्का नूनमार्याऽपि जानकी।दग्धा तेन मया भर्तुर्हितं कार्यमजानता।।।।
yadi dagdhā tv iyaṁ laṅkā nūnam āryā ’pi jānakī | dagdhā tena mayā bhartur hitaṁ kāryam ajānatā ||
ഈ ലങ്ക ദഹിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ, നിശ്ചയം ആര്യയായ ജാനകിയും ദഹിച്ചിരിക്കാം; അങ്ങനെ ഭർത്താവിന്റെ ഹിതകാര്യത്തെ അറിയാതെ, എന്റെ അജ്ഞാനത്താൽ ഞാൻ തന്നെ നശിപ്പിച്ചു.
