कथं हि जीवता शक्यो मया द्रष्टुं हरीश्वरः।तौ वा पुरुषशार्दूलौ कार्यसर्वस्वघातिना।।।।

Transliteration

kathaṃ hi jīvatā śakyo mayā draṣṭuṃ harīśvaraḥ |

tau vā puruṣaśārdūlau kāryasarvasvaghātinā ||

Translation

ഞാൻ ജീവനോടെ ഇരിക്കെ വാനരേശ്വരനായ സുഗ്രീവനെ എങ്ങനെ മുഖാമുഖം കാണും? അല്ലെങ്കിൽ പുരുഷശാർദൂലന്മാരായ ആ രണ്ടു (രാമ-ലക്ഷ്മണ)രെയും എങ്ങനെ നേരിടും? ഈ ദൗത്യത്തിന്റെ സർവ്വസാരവും തകർത്തവനായ ഞാൻ എല്ലാം നശിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
