प्रमदावनविध्वंसः | The Devastation of the Pleasure-Garden

न चास्य कार्यस्य पराक्रमादृते विनिश्चयः कश्चिदिहोपपद्यते।हतप्रवीरा हि रणे हि राक्षसाः कथञ्चिदीयुर्यदिहाद्य मार्दवम्।।।।
na cāsya kāryasya parākramād ṛte viniścayaḥ kaścid ihopapadyate |
hatapravīrā hi raṇe hi rākṣasāḥ kathañcid īyur yad ihādya mārdavam ||
ഈ കാര്യത്തിൽ പരാക്രമം കൂടാതെ ഇവിടെ യാതൊരു നിശ്ചയവും നിലനിൽക്കുകയില്ല. യുദ്ധത്തിൽ രാക്ഷസന്മാരുടെ ചില പ്രവീരന്മാർ വീണാൽ, അവർ എങ്ങനെയെങ്കിലും ഇന്ന് മൃദുവായി വഴങ്ങാൻ സാധ്യതയുണ്ട്.
