The Token of Recognition (Chūḍāmaṇi) and the Crow Episode Recalled

वैदेह्या वचनं श्रुत्वा करुणं साश्रुभाषितम्।अथाब्रवीन्महातेजा हनुमान्मारुतात्मजः।।5.38.49।।

vaidehyā vacanaṃ śrutvā karuṇaṃ sāśru-bhāṣitam | athābravīn mahātejā hanumān mārutātmajaḥ ||5.38.49||

വൈദേഹിയുടെ കരുണാഭരിതവും കണ്ണീരോടെ ഉച്ചരിച്ചതുമായ വചനങ്ങൾ കേട്ട ശേഷം, മഹാതേജസ്സനായ മാരുതാത്മജൻ ഹനുമാൻ മറുപടി പറഞ്ഞു.
