प्रागेव तु महाभागस्सौमित्रिर्मित्रनन्दनः।।5.33.28।।पूर्वजस्यानुयात्रार्थे द्रुमचीरैरलङ्कृतः।
prāg eva tu mahābhāgaḥ saumitrir mitranandanaḥ | pūrvajasyānuyātrārthe drumacīrair alaṅkṛtaḥ ||
അതിനു മുമ്പേ തന്നെ മഹാഭാഗനായ സൗമിത്രി—മിത്രങ്ങൾക്ക് ആനന്ദം നൽകുന്നവൻ—വൃക്ഷചർമ്മവസ്ത്രങ്ങൾ ധരിച്ചു, ജ്യേഷ്ഠഭ്രാതാവിനെ അനുഗമിക്കാൻ സജ്ജനായി.
