दृश्यमाने भवेत्प्रीति स्सौहृदं नास्त्यपश्यतः।।।।नाशयन्ति कृतघ्नास्तु न रामो नाशयिष्यति।

Transliteration

dṛśyamāne bhavet prītiḥ sauhṛdaṃ nāsty apaśyataḥ | nāśayanti kṛtaghnās tu na rāmo nāśayiṣyati ||

Translation

കണ്ണിനു മുന്നിൽ കാണുമ്പോൾ പ്രീതി വളരും; കാണാതിരുന്നാൽ സൗഹൃദം നിലനിൽക്കില്ല. കൃതഘ്നർ അത്തരം ബന്ധം നശിപ്പിക്കും—എന്നാൽ രാമൻ അത് നശിപ്പിക്കുകയില്ല.
