अष्टादशः सर्गः (Sarga 18): रावणस्य प्रमदावनप्रवेशः

Ravana’s entry into the women’s grove

दीपिकाः काञ्चनीः काश्चिज्जगृहुस्तत्र योषितः।वालव्यजनहस्ताश्च तालवृन्तानि चापराः।।5.18.11।।

dīpikāḥ kāñcanīḥ kāścij jagṛhus tatra yoṣitaḥ |

vālavyajanahastāś ca tālavṛntāni cāparāḥ ||

അവിടെ ചില യോഷിതകൾ കാഞ്ചനദീപികകൾ കൈയിൽ പിടിച്ചിരുന്നു; ചിലർ കൈയിൽ ചാമരം (യാക്ക്-വാൽ) വീശുവാൻ എടുത്തിരുന്നു; മറ്റുചിലർ താളപത്രവ്യജനങ്ങളും വഹിച്ചു.
