Heroic Hanuman felt happy when he saw Sita. He offered salutations to Rama and Lakshmana at heart and covered himself (with the leaves of the Simsupa tree) and waited.ityārṣē śrīmadrāmāyaṇē vālmīkīya ādikāvyē sundarakāṇḍē saptadaśassargaḥ.Thus ends the seventeenth sarga of Sundarakanda of the holy Ramayana, the first epic composed by sage Valmiki.
It underscores that the righteous may suffer under injustice, but their inherent nobility remains; dharma calls others (like Hanumān) to relieve such suffering through rightful action.
Hanumān’s first clear sight of Sītā reveals both her natural radiance and the crushing weight of her grief in captivity.
Sītā’s dignified presence despite sorrow; Hanumān’s compassionate recognition of her plight.
