एवं सर्वमशेषेण रावणान्तः पुरं कपिः।।5.11.35।।ददर्श सुमहातेजाः न ददर्श च जानकीम्।
evaṃ sarvam aśeṣeṇa rāvaṇāntaḥ-puraṃ kapiḥ || 5.11.35 || dadarśa su-mahā-tejāḥ na dadarśa ca jānakīm |
ഇങ്ങനെ മഹാതേജസ്സായ കപി രാവണന്റെ അന്തഃപുരം മുഴുവനായും, ഒന്നും ശേഷിക്കാതെ പരിശോധിച്ചു കണ്ടു; എങ്കിലും ജാനകിയെ അവൻ കാണുകയില്ലായിരുന്നു।
