रावणान्तःपुर-पानभूमि-विचयः

तासां निद्रावशत्वाच्च मदनेन विमूर्छितम्।।5.11.34।।पद्मिनीनां प्रसुप्तानां रूपमासीद्यथैव हि।

tāsāṃ nidrā-vaśatvāc ca madanena vimūrcchitam || 5.11.34 || padminīnāṃ prasuptānāṃ rūpam āsīd yathaiva hi |

നിദ്രയുടെ അധീനരായി, കാമക്രീഡയിൽ ക്ഷീണിച്ച് അവർ ഉറങ്ങിക്കിടക്കുമ്പോൾ, അവരുടെ സൗന്ദര്യം—സുപ്ത പദ്മിനികളുടേതുപോലെ—കമലങ്ങൾ അടഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന കമലവള്ളികളെപ്പോലെ തന്നെയായി തോന്നി।
