जातरूपपरिक्षिप्तं चित्रभानुसमप्रभम्।अशोकमालाविततं ददर्श परमासनम्।।।।वालव्यजनहस्ताभिर्वीज्यमानं समन्ततः।गन्धैश्च विविधैर्जुष्टं वरधूपेन धूपितम्।।।।परमास्तरणास्तीर्णमाविकाजिनसंवृतम्।दामभिर्वरमाल्यानां समन्तादुपशोभितम्।।।।

Transliteration

jātarūpa-parikṣiptaṃ citrabhānu-sama-prabham |

aśoka-mālā-vitataṃ dadarśa paramāsanam ||

vāla-vyajana-hastābhir vījyamānaṃ samantataḥ |

gandhaiś ca vividhair juṣṭaṃ vara-dhūpena dhūpitam ||

paramāstaraṇāstīrṇam āvikājina-saṃvṛtam |

dāmabhir vara-mālyānāṃ samantād upaśobhitam ||

Translation

അവൻ സ്വർണ്ണം പൊതിഞ്ഞതും സൂര്യനെപ്പോലെ ദീപ്തിയുള്ളതും അശോകപുഷ്പമാലകൾ വിരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതുമായ അത്യുത്തമ ശയനാസനം കണ്ടു. ചാമരധാരികളായ സ്ത്രീകൾ എല്ലാടവും വീശിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു; പലവിധ സുഗന്ധങ്ങളാൽ പരിമളിതവും ശ്രേഷ്ഠധൂപംകൊണ്ട് ധൂപിതവും ആയിരുന്നു. ഉത്തമമായ വിരിപ്പുകൾ വിരിച്ചും മൃദുവായ ഉണ്ണിച്ചർമ്മങ്ങൾ പൊതിഞ്ഞും, ചുറ്റുമെങ്ങും മനോഹരമായ പുഷ്പമാലകളുടെ ദാമങ്ങളാൽ അലങ്കരിച്ചുമിരുന്നു.
