अथाऽऽरोहणमासाद्य वेदिकाऽन्तरमाश्रितः।सुप्तं राक्षसशार्दूलं प्रेक्षते स्म महाकपिः।।।।

Transliteration

athā ’rōhaṇam āsādya vedikāntaram āśritaḥ |

suptaṃ rākṣasaśārdūlaṃ prekṣate sma mahākapiḥ ||

Translation

അപ്പോൾ മഹാകപി പടിവാതിലിനടുത്തെത്തി, മറ്റൊരു വേദികയുടെ അകത്തളത്തിൽ അഭയം പ്രാപിച്ച്, ഉറങ്ങിക്കിടന്ന രാക്ഷസശാർദൂലനെ വീണ്ടും നോക്കി കണ്ടു.
