'On hearing Anjana's words, the Wind-god replied, ' O auspicious lady, I do you no harm, O lady of beautiful hips. I reached (enjoyed) you in mind, not body. You need not fear.'
A dharmic response includes truthful reassurance and the intent of non-harm (ahiṃsā), especially when someone is frightened.
After Anjanā protests, the Wind-god answers to calm her fear.
Maruta’s assurance and claim of non-violent intent are emphasized (though the narrative tension remains addressed in subsequent verses).
