उपदेशः — Hanuman’s Counsel to Angada on Succession and Strategy

न च जातु न हिंस्युस्त्वां घोरा लक्ष्मणसायकाः ।अपवृत्तं जिघांसन्तो महावेगा दुरासदाः ।। ।।

na ca jātu na hiṃsyus tvāṃ ghorā lakṣmaṇa-sāyakāḥ |

apavṛttaṃ jighāṃsanto mahāvegā durāsadāḥ || 4.54.19 ||

ലക്ഷ്മണന്റെ ഭയങ്കര അമ്പുകൾ ഒരിക്കലും നിന്നെ വിട്ടുമാറുകയില്ല; നീ പിൻതിരിഞ്ഞ് മാറിനിൽക്കുകയോ ഓടിപ്പോകുകയോ ചെയ്താൽ, പിന്മാറുന്നവനെ വധിക്കുവാൻ ഉത്സുകമായ മഹാവേഗവും പ്രതിരോധിക്കാനാകാത്തതുമായ അമ്പുകൾ നിന്നെ തുളച്ചുകയറും.
