Sugriva on Surveying the Earth’s Regions
अथाऽहं कृतबुद्धिस्तु सुव्यक्तं निहतो गुरुः।शिला पर्वतसङ्काशा बिलद्वारि मया कृता।।।।अशक्नुव न्निष्क्रमितुं महिषो विनशेदिति।
athāhaṃ kṛta-buddhis tu suvyaktaṃ nihato guruḥ | śilā parvata-saṅkāśā bila-dvāri mayā kṛtā || aśaknuvan niṣkramituṃ mahiṣo vinaśed iti ||
അപ്പോൾ ‘എന്റെ ജ്യേഷ്ഠഭ്രാതാവ് തീർച്ചയായും ഹതനായിരിക്കുന്നു’ എന്നു ഞാൻ ഉറപ്പിച്ചു; അതുകൊണ്ട് ഗുഹാദ്വാരത്തിൽ പർവ്വതസദൃശമായ ഒരു പാറ ഞാൻ വെച്ചു—‘പുറത്തിറങ്ങാൻ കഴിയാതെ മഹിഷൻ നശിക്കട്ടെ’ എന്നു കരുതി.
