शरत्प्रवेशे रामविलापः तथा सुग्रीवप्रमादे लक्ष्मणप्रेषणम्
Autumn’s Onset: Rama’s Lament and Lakshmana Sent to Sugriva
लोकं सुवृष्ट्या परितोषयित्वानदीस्तटाकानि च पूरयित्वा।निष्पन्नसस्यां वसुधां च कृत्वात्यक्त्वा नभस्तोयधराः प्रणष्टाः।।
lokaṃ su-vṛṣṭyā paritoṣayitvā nadīs taṭākāni ca pūrayitvā | niṣpanna-sasyāṃ vasudhāṃ ca kṛtvā tyaktvā nabhas toyadharāḥ praṇaṣṭāḥ ||
സുമഴയാൽ ലോകത്തെ സന്തോഷിപ്പിച്ച്, നദികളും കുളങ്ങളും നിറച്ച്, ഭൂമിയെ പാകമായ ധാന്യസമൃദ്ധിയോടെ സമ്പന്നമാക്കി, ആകാശത്തിലെ ജലധാരക മേഘങ്ങൾ വിടപറഞ്ഞ് അപ്രത്യക്ഷമായി.
'Having showered heavy rains, and filling tanks and rivers, and producing bumper crops on the earth the clouds have disapeared.
Dharma is fulfilling one’s role and departing without clinging: like clouds that give and move on, righteous action is timely, beneficial, and non-possessive.
Rama notes the monsoon has completed its work—waters are filled and crops grown—so clouds disappear and autumn begins.
Rama’s gratitude and realism—he recognizes completion of a cycle and accepts change as truthful and natural.
