यन्नावगच्छत्सुग्रीवं वालिनं वापि राघवः।ततो न कृतवान्बुद्धिं मोक्तुमन्तकरं शरम्4.12.20।।
yan nāvagacchat sugrīvaṃ vālinam vāpi rāghavaḥ | tato na kṛtavān buddhiṃ moktum antakaraṃ śaram || 4.12.20 ||
രാഘവന് സുഗ്രീവനെയോ വാലിയെയോ വ്യക്തമായി തിരിച്ചറിയാൻ കഴിയാതിരുന്നതിനാൽ, മരണകാരിയായ ആ പ്രാണഹര ശരം വിടുവിക്കാൻ അദ്ദേഹം തീരുമാനിച്ചില്ല.
