तांस्तु स प्रतियुध्यन् वै युद्धे राजा प्रवासित:।हिमवन्तमुपागम्य भृगुप्रस्रवणेऽवसत्।।1.70.29।।असितोऽल्पबलो राजा मन्त्रिभिस्सहितस्तदा।
tāṁs tu sa pratiyudhyan vai yuddhe rājā pravāsitaḥ | himavantam upāgamya bhṛguprasravaṇe 'vasat || 1.70.29 || asito 'lpabalo rājā mantribhiḥ sahitas tadā |
യുദ്ധത്തിൽ അവരോടു പ്രതിയുദ്ധം ചെയ്ത രാജാവ് പരാജയപ്പെട്ടു പ്രവാസത്തിലാക്കപ്പെട്ടു. ഹിമവാനെ പ്രാപിച്ച്, ശക്തി ക്ഷീണിച്ച അസിതരാജാവ് അന്നു മന്ത്രിമാരോടുകൂടെ ഭൃഗുപ്രസ്രവണത്തിൽ വസിച്ചു.
The king Asita who was a weakling was defeated in the conflict against the kings and was exiled. Along with his counsellors he lived at on the Bhriguprasravana Himavat mountain.
Dharma under adversity: even a defeated ruler continues life with restraint and lawful conduct, seeking refuge rather than descending into chaos—an ethic of endurance aligned with satya and self-control.
Asita loses to rival kings and is forced to leave his kingdom; he retreats to the Himalaya region with his advisers.
Kṣānti and dhṛti (forbearance and fortitude) in exile, supported by prudent counsel (mantri-sahāya).
