Commencement and Performance of Daśaratha’s Aśvamedha
नाषडङ्गविदत्रासीन्नाव्रतो नाबहुश्रुत:।सदस्यास्तस्य वै राज्ञो नावादकुशला द्विजा:।।।।
nāṣaḍaṅgavid atrāsīn nāvrato nābahuśrutaḥ |
sadasyās tasya vai rājño nāvādakuśalā dvijāḥ ||
ആ രാജാവിന്റെ യാഗശാലയിൽ ഷഡംഗങ്ങളിൽ അജ്ഞനായോ വ്രതഭംഗം ചെയ്തവനോ അല്പശ്രുതനായോ ശാസ്ത്രാർത്ഥവാദത്തിൽ അകുശലനായോ ആയ ഒരു സഹായഋത്വിജനും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല; രാജസഭയിലെ ദ്വിജന്മാർ എല്ലാവരും പ്രാവീണ്യമുള്ളവരായിരുന്നു.
