Transliteration

padbhyām eva hi dharmajño nyasta-śastra-paricchadaḥ |

vasāno vāsasī kṣaume purodhāya purodhasam || 2.90.2 ||

Translation

ധർമ്മജ്ഞനായ രാമൻ കാൽനടയായിട്ടേ പുറപ്പെട്ടു; ആയുധങ്ങളും രാജചിഹ്നങ്ങളും വിട്ടുവെച്ച്, ലളിതമായ ക്ഷൗമവസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ചു, പുരോഹിതനെ മുന്നിൽ നിർത്തി യാത്രയായി.
