चक्षुषा त्वां न पश्यामि स्मृतिर्मम विलुप्यते।दूता वैवस्वतस्यैते कौसल्ये त्वरयन्ति माम्।।।।
cakṣuṣā tvāṃ na paśyāmi smṛtir mama vilupyate | dūtā vaivasvatasyāite kausalyā tvarayanti mām ||
ഹേ കൗസല്യേ, എന്റെ കണ്ണുകൾകൊണ്ട് നിന്നെ കാണുന്നില്ല; എന്റെ സ്മൃതി മങ്ങിപ്പോകുന്നു. വൈവസ്വതൻ (യമൻ) എന്നവന്റെ ഈ ദൂതന്മാർ എന്നെ വേഗത്തിൽ മുന്നോട്ടു തള്ളുന്നു.
O Kausalya!, I am unable to see you. My memory is failing and the messengers of Yama are hastening me.
