षष्टितमः सर्गः — Kausalyā’s Lament and Sumantra’s Consolation
Sītā’s Fearless Forest-Life
विजनेऽपि वने सीता वासं प्राप्य गृहेष्विव।विस्रम्भं लभतेऽभीता रामे सन्न्यस्तमानसा।।।।
vijane 'pi vane sītā vāsaṃ prāpya gṛheṣv iva |
visrambhaṃ labhate 'bhītā rāme sannyastamānasā ||
ഏകാന്തവനത്തിലുപോലും സീത അവിടെ വാസം പ്രാപിച്ച് സ്വന്തം വീട്ടിലിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ കഴിയുന്നു; മനസ്സ് മുഴുവനും രാമനിൽ നിക്ഷേപിച്ചതിനാൽ അവൾ നിർഭയവും നിർചിന്തയും ആകുന്നു।
Sita with her mind fixed on Rama is living confidently in that desolate forest without any fear as if it were her home.
