सर्वप्रजाभिरामं हि रामं प्रव्राज्य धार्मिकम्।सर्वलोकं विरुध्येमं कथं राजा भविष्यसि।।।।

sarvaprajābhirāmaṃ hi rāmaṃ pravrājya dhārmikam |

sarvalokaṃ virudhyemaṃ kathaṃ rājā bhaviṣyasi ||

സകല പ്രജകൾക്കും പ്രിയങ്കരനായ ധാർമ്മികൻ ശ്രീരാമനെ വനവാസത്തിലാക്കി, സർവ്വലോകത്തെയും വിരോധത്തിലാക്കി, മഹാരാജാ, നീ എങ്ങനെ പിന്നെയും രാജാവായി നിലകൊള്ളും?
