वहन्तं किं तुदसि मां नियुज्य धुरि माऽहिते।अनार्ये कृत्यमारब्धं किं न पूर्वमुपारुधः।।।।

vahantaṃ kiṃ tudasi māṃ niyujya dhuri māhite | anārye kṛtyam ārabdhaṃ kiṃ na pūrvam upārudhaḥ || 2.36.14 ||

അനാര്യേ, എന്നെ നുകത്തിൽ കെട്ടി ഭാരധുരയിൽ നിയോഗിച്ച് ഞാൻ അത് വഹിച്ച് മുന്നേറുമ്പോൾ നീ എന്തിന് എന്നെ കുത്തിപ്പൊക്കുന്നു? നീചസ്ത്രീയേ, ഈ പ്രവൃത്തി ആരംഭിച്ചതാണെങ്കിൽ ആദ്യം തന്നേ എന്തിന് തടഞ്ഞില്ല?
