सीताया वनगमननिश्चयः

Sita’s Resolve to Accompany Rama to the Forest

ईर्ष्यारोषौ बहिष्कृत्य भुक्तशेषमिवोदकम्।नय मां वीर विस्रब्धः पापं मयि न विद्यते।।।।

īrṣyāroṣau bahiṣkṛtya bhuktaśeṣam ivodakam | naya māṁ vīra visrabdhaḥ pāpaṁ mayi na vidyate ||

കുടിച്ചശേഷം ശേഷിക്കുന്ന വെള്ളംപോലെ അസൂയയും കോപവും പുറത്താക്കി വിടുക; ഹേ വീരാ! സംശയമില്ലാതെ എന്നെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുപോകുക—എന്നിൽ പാപമോ ദോഷമോ ഇല്ല.

Do take me with you, O valiant one! without hesitation. Dismiss all anger and envy (from your mind) like the leftover water after drinking (anger because she disobeys and envy because she, too, like Rama, is willing to brave the hazards of forest life). There is no fault on my part.
