Proposal for Rāma’s Installation as Heir-Apparent
बलमारोग्यमायुश्च रामस्य विदितात्मनः।
देवासुरमनुष्येषु सगन्धर्वोरगेषु च।।2.2.50।।
आशंसते जनस्सर्वो राष्ट्रे पुरवरे तथा।
आभ्यन्तरश्च बाह्यश्च पौरजानपदो जनः।।2.2.51।।
balam ārogyam āyuś ca rāmasya viditātmanaḥ | devāsura-manuṣyeṣu sa-gandharvorageṣu ca || 2.2.50 ||
āśaṃsate janaḥ sarvo rāṣṭre puravare tathā | ābhyantaraś ca bāhyaś ca paura-jānapado janaḥ || 2.2.51 ||
ദേവന്മാരിലും അസുരന്മാരിലും മനുഷ്യരിലും ഗന്ധർവന്മാരിലും നാഗന്മാരിലും ഉൾപ്പെടെ എല്ലാവരും, മഹത്വം അറിയപ്പെടുന്ന ശ്രീരാമനു ബലം, ആരോഗ്യവും ദീർഘായുസ്സും ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു; അതുപോലെ രാജ്യത്തുടനീളവും തലസ്ഥാനത്തിലും സമീപദൂരങ്ങളിലെ നഗരവാസികളും ഗ്രാമജനങ്ങളും അതേ ആശംസിക്കുന്നു.
