यस्य त्वाहारसमये सूदाः कुण्डलधारिणः।।।।अहंपूर्वाः पचन्ति स्म प्रशस्तं पानभोजनम्।स कथन्नु कषायाणि तिक्तानि कटुकानि च।।।।भक्षयन्वन्यमाहारं सुतो मे वर्तयिष्यति।

yasya tv āhārasamaye sūdāḥ kuṇḍaladhāriṇaḥ, ahaṃpūrvāḥ pacanti sma praśastaṃ pānabhojanam; sa kathannu kaṣāyāṇi tiktāni kaṭukāni ca, bhakṣayan vanyam āhāraṃ suto me vartayiṣyati.

ആഹാരസമയത്ത് കുണ്ഡലധാരികളായ പാചകരെക്കൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ മുമ്പിൽ നിന്നു അഭിമാനത്തോടെ സമൃദ്ധമായ ഉത്തമ പാനഭോജനങ്ങൾ ഒരുക്കിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്ന എന്റെ പുത്രൻ, ഇനി വന്യാഹാരമായി കഷായവും തിക്തവും കടുപ്പമുള്ള കടുവും ആയ വസ്തുക്കൾ തിന്ന് എങ്ങനെ ജീവിക്കും?
