अनृतैर्बहु मां सान्त्वै स्सान्त्वयन्ती स्म भाषसे।गीतशब्देन संरुध्य लुब्धो मृगमिवावधीः।।।।
anṛtair bahu māṁ sāntvaiḥ sāntvayantī sma bhāṣase | gītaśabdena saṁrudhya lubdho mṛgam ivāvadhīḥ ||
പല മധുരമായെങ്കിലും അസത്യമായ ആശ്വാസവാക്കുകളാൽ നീ എന്നെ ശമിപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു; പിന്നെ ഗാനസ്വരത്തിൽ മയക്കി, ലുബ്ധനായ വേട്ടക്കാരൻ മാൻ കുടുക്കുന്നതുപോലെ നീ എന്നെ വീഴ്ത്തി.
