पितृमरणश्रवणं जलक्रिया च

Hearing of Daśaratha’s death and the libation rites at Mandākinī

ततो बहुगुणं तेषां बाष्पं नेत्रेष्वजायत।तथा ब्रुवति काकुत्स्थे कुमाराणां यशस्विनाम्।।।।

tato bahuguṇaṃ teṣāṃ bāṣpo netreṣv ajāyata |

tathā bruvati kākutsthe kumārāṇāṃ yaśasvinām ||

കാകുത്സ്ഥൻ ഇങ്ങനെ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തപ്പോൾ, ആ യശസ്സുള്ള കുമാരന്മാരുടെ കണ്ണുകളിൽ ധാരാളം കണ്ണുനീർ നിറഞ്ഞുയർന്നു.
