svāgataṃ te raghuśreṣṭha rāma satyabhṛtāṃ vara | āśramo ’yaṃ tvayākrāntaḥ sanātha iva sāmpratam || 3.7.8 ||
O Rama, the best among the Raghavas and among the upholders of truth, you are welcome. With your presence this hermitage will have a protector now.
Dharma is expressed as honoring the truthful and righteous, and recognizing the kingly duty of protection (rakṣaṇa) embodied by Rāma even while he lives as an exile.
A sage at a hermitage welcomes Rāma and acknowledges that Rāma’s presence makes the āśrama feel safeguarded.
Satya (truthfulness) and protective leadership—Rāma is praised as foremost among truth-upholders and as a natural guardian to the vulnerable.
