एवमुक्त्वा ततो रामं संरुध्य भ्रुकुटीं ततः।स ददर्श महासालमविदूरे निशाचरः।।।।रणे प्रहरणस्यार्थे सर्वतो ह्यवलोकयन्।
evam uktvā tato rāmaṃ saṃrudhya bhrukuṭīṃ tataḥ | sa dadarśa mahāsālam avidūre niśācaraḥ || 3.30.16 ||
raṇe praharaṇasyārthe sarvato hy avalokayan |
ഇങ്ങനെ രാമനോട് പറഞ്ഞിട്ട്, നിശാചരൻ ഭ്രൂകുടി ചുളിച്ചു; പിന്നെ യുദ്ധത്തിൽ പ്രഹരിക്കാനുള്ള ആയുധം തേടി എല്ലാടവും നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കെ, അടുത്തായി ഒരു മഹാശാലവൃക്ഷം അവൻ കണ്ടു.
