उत्पातदर्शनं खरसैन्यसमागमश्च
Omens of calamity and the approach of Khara’s army
सधूमाश्च शरास्सर्वे मम युद्धाभिनन्दिनः।रुक्मपृष्ठानि चापानि विचेष्टन्ते च लक्ष्मण।।।।
sadhūmāś ca śarāḥ sarve mama yuddhābhinandinaḥ | rukmapṛṣṭhāni cāpāni viceṣṭante ca lakṣmaṇa ||
ഹേ ലക്ഷ്മണാ, എന്റെ എല്ലാ അമ്പുകളും പുക ഉയർത്തുന്നു; പൊൻപിറകുള്ള വില്ലുകളും വിറയ്ക്കുന്നതുപോലെ തോന്നുന്നു—യുദ്ധത്തിലേക്ക് എന്നെ സ്വാഗതം ചെയ്യുന്നതുപോലെ.
