पञ्चवटी-निर्देशः
Agastya Directs Rama to Panchavati
इतो द्वियोजने तात बहुमूलफलोदकः।देशो बहुमृगश्श्रीमान्पञ्चवट्यभिविश्रुतः।।।।
ito dvi-yojane tāta bahu-mūla-phalo-dakaḥ | deśo bahu-mṛgaḥ śrīmān pañcavaṭy-abhiviśrutaḥ ||
“വത്സാ, ഇവിടെ നിന്ന് രണ്ടു യോജന ദൂരത്ത് മൂലവും ഫലവും ജലവും സമൃദ്ധമായ, അനേകം മൃഗങ്ങൾ നിറഞ്ഞ, ‘പഞ്ചവടി’ എന്നു പ്രസിദ്ധമായ ഒരു മനോഹര ദേശമുണ്ട്.”
O dear! two yojanas away is a place well-known as Panchavati, a beautiful resort with many roots, fruits, plenty of water and many animals.
