एवमुक्त्वा महाबाहुरगस्त्यं सूर्यवर्चसम्।जग्राह परमप्रीतस्तस्य पादौ परन्तपः।।।।

evam uktvā mahābāhur agastyaṃ sūryavarcasam |

jagrāha paramaprītas tasya pādau parantapaḥ ||

Translation

ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞ ശേഷം, മഹാബാഹുവും ശത്രുതാപകനുമായ രാമൻ, സൂര്യസമാന പ്രഭയുള്ള അഗസ്ത്യനെ പരമപ്രീതിയോടെ വന്ദിച്ചു, ആനന്ദത്തോടെ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ പാദങ്ങൾ പിടിച്ചു.
