The sages, steadfast in their vows, saw Rama who was shining like the rising Moon, Lakshmana and the famed Sita went forward and received them with words of benediction.
Dharma is honored through right recognition and right speech: the sages welcome the guests with maṅgala (benedictory words), reflecting cultured, dharmic reception and goodwill.
Upon the trio’s arrival, the sages behold them—Rāma compared to the rising moon—and formally welcome them with blessings.
Rāma’s dharma-caryā (living by righteousness) is highlighted, along with the sages’ disciplined integrity (dṛḍha-vrata) and auspicious speech.
