Concept: In Kṛta-yuga, human life is long and stable, supporting sustained tapas and dharma; spiritual methods correlate with human capacity.

Application: Use the present limited lifespan wisely: prioritize daily sādhana, avoid procrastination, and adopt simple, repeatable vows (ekādaśī, nāma) rather than relying on long austerities.

FAQs

It states that the lifespan in the Kṛta Yuga is counted as four thousand years.

These are honorific vocatives meaning “foremost among sages” and “one whose wealth is austerity,” addressing ascetic sages present in the dialogue.

It points to the traditional Purāṇic idea that earlier yugas are marked by greater dharma and spiritual strength, associated with longer, more disciplined human life.
