पाठमात्रावसानस्तु पंके गौरिव सीदति । योऽधीत्य विधिवद्वेदं वेदार्थं न विचारयेत्

വെറും പാഠമാത്രത്തിൽ അവസാനിപ്പിക്കുന്നവൻ ചെളിയിൽ കുടുങ്ങിയ പശുവുപോലെ താഴ്ന്നുപോകുന്നു—വിധിപൂർവ്വം വേദം പഠിച്ചിട്ടും വേദാർത്ഥം വിചാരിക്കാത്തവൻ.
