अहिंसा परमो धर्मो ह्यहिंसैव परं तपः । अहिंसा परमं दानमित्याहुर्मुनयः सदा

ahiṃsā paramo dharmo hyahiṃsaiva paraṃ tapaḥ | ahiṃsā paramaṃ dānamityāhurmunayaḥ sadā

അഹിംസയാണ് പരമധർമ്മം; നിശ്ചയമായും അഹിംസ തന്നെയാണ് പരമതപസ്. അഹിംസ തന്നെയാണ് പരമദാനം—എന്ന് മുനികൾ സദാ പറയുന്നു.
