विकुंडल उवाच । श्रुत्वा त्वद्वचनं सौम्य प्रसन्नं चित्तमेव मे । गंगोदं पापहं सद्यः पापहारि सतां वचः
vikuṃḍala uvāca | śrutvā tvadvacanaṃ saumya prasannaṃ cittameva me | gaṃgodaṃ pāpahaṃ sadyaḥ pāpahāri satāṃ vacaḥ
വികുണ്ഡലൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ സൗമ്യാ! നിന്റെ വചനങ്ങൾ കേട്ടപ്പോൾ എന്റെ ചിത്തം പ്രസന്നമായി. ഗംഗാജലം പോലെ തന്നെ സദ്യം പാപം നശിപ്പിക്കുന്നതു പോലെ, സജ്ജനങ്ങളുടെ വചനവും പാപം അകറ്റുന്നു.
