Genealogy of the Ancestors (Pitṛs) and the Procedure of Śrāddha

सपवित्राणि कृत्वादौ शन्नोदेवीत्यपः क्षिपेत् । तिलोसीति तिलान्कुर्याद्गन्धपुष्पादिकं पुनः

sapavitrāṇi kṛtvādau śannodevītyapaḥ kṣipet | tilosīti tilānkuryādgandhapuṣpādikaṃ punaḥ

ആദ്യം പവിത്രങ്ങൾ ഒരുക്കി ‘ശം നോ ദേവീഃ’ മന്ത്രം ജപിച്ച് ജലം തളിക്കണം. തുടർന്ന് ‘തിലോऽസി’ മന്ത്രത്തോടെ എള്ള് നിവേദ്യം ചെയ്ത് വീണ്ടും ഗന്ധം, പുഷ്പം മുതലായവ അർപ്പിക്കണം.
