अभ्यर्च्य गंधाद्युत्सृज्य पितृयज्ञं समारभेत् । दर्भासनादि कृत्वादौ त्रीणि पात्राणि चार्चयेत्

abhyarcya gaṃdhādyutsṛjya pitṛyajñaṃ samārabhet | darbhāsanādi kṛtvādau trīṇi pātrāṇi cārcayet

ആദ്യം അർച്ചന നടത്തി ഗന്ധാദി ഉപചാരങ്ങൾ മാറ്റിവെച്ച് പിതൃയജ്ഞം ആരംഭിക്കണം. തുടക്കത്തിൽ ദർഭാസനം മുതലായ ക്രമീകരണം ചെയ്ത് മൂന്ന് പാത്രങ്ങൾ സംസ്കരിച്ചു വിധിപൂർവ്വം അർച്ചിക്കണം.
