Description of the Worship of the Planets
abhayaṃ sarvabhūtānāṃ nāsti dānamataḥ param | dānaṃ pradhānaṃ śūdrasya tvityāha bhagavānprabhuḥ

Application: Practice ‘fearlessness-giving’ concretely: non-violence, safe shelter, legal/medical aid, rescuing animals, de-escalation, truthful reassurance, and creating secure environments at home/work; give within means but consistently.

Sandhi Resolution Notes:
It elevates “abhaya-dāna”—giving safety and freedom from fear to all beings—as the supreme gift, higher than material donations.
By valuing fearlessness for all creatures, it points toward compassion, protection, and non-harm as central ethical duties.
The verse states that dāna (charitable giving) is primary—highlighting generosity and support of others as a key religious duty.
