FAQs

It recommends daily honoring brāhmaṇas through charity (dāna), respectful conduct (māna), worship (arcana), and related services.

It states that such honoring is equivalent in merit to performing a hundred sacrifices (kratuśata), properly done according to injunctions.

The verse emphasizes that sincere generosity, respect, and support of learned and virtuous people is a high form of dharma, comparable to elaborate ritual performance.
