जगाम रक्षां स द्रष्टुं प्रणिपत्य तु मातरम् । देवी चापश्यदायांतीं सखीं मातुर्विभूषिताम्

jagāma rakṣāṃ sa draṣṭuṃ praṇipatya tu mātaram | devī cāpaśyadāyāṃtīṃ sakhīṃ māturvibhūṣitām

അവൻ മാതാവിനെ നമസ്കരിച്ചു രക്ഷയെ കാണാൻ പോയി. ദേവി മാതാവിന്റെ ആഭരണങ്ങളാൽ അലങ്കരിക്കപ്പെട്ട ഒരു സഖി അടുത്തുവരുന്നതു കണ്ടു।
