एकवस्त्रा मुक्तकेशी रक्तांतस्तब्धलोचना । अहं बलप्रदा देवी मां वा गृह्णन्तु दानवाः
ekavastrā muktakeśī raktāṃtastabdhalocanā | ahaṃ balapradā devī māṃ vā gṛhṇantu dānavāḥ
ഒറ്റ വസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ചു, അഴിച്ചുവിട്ട മുടിയോടെ, രക്തവർണ്ണത്തിൽ ഉറച്ച ദൃഷ്ടിയോടെ അവൾ പറഞ്ഞു—“ഞാൻ ബലപ്രദായിനി ദേവി; ദാനവർ ഇച്ഛിച്ചാൽ എന്നെ ഗ്രഹിക്കട്ടെ.”
