वर्णानां चैव संदेहो युगांते कुरुनंदन । एषा द्वादशसाहस्री युगाख्या पूर्वनिर्मिता

യുഗാന്തത്തിൽ, ഹേ കുരുനന്ദന, വർണങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ച് സംശയവും ആശയക്കുഴപ്പവും ഉയരും. ‘യുഗ’മെന്ന ഈ കാലചക്രം മുൻപേ ദ്വാദശ സഹസ്ര (വർഷ) അളവായി സ്ഥാപിക്കപ്പെട്ടതാണ്।
