दनुपुत्रो याचितोसि वरमेतत्प्रदीयताम् । बाष्कलिरुवाच । पदत्रयं वामनाय देवराज प्रतीच्छ मे

ഹേ ദനുപുത്രാ, നിന്നോടു വരം യാചിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു—ഈ വരം ദത്തമാകട്ടെ. ബാഷ്കലി പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ ദേവരാജാ, വാമനനുവേണ്ടി ഞാൻ നൽകുന്ന മൂന്നു പാദങ്ങൾ സ്വീകരിക്കൂ.
