Application: In study and worship, alternate between concise summaries and deeper questioning; let curiosity be reverent, aimed at understanding the Lord’s presence in the world.

FAQs

It signals a transition: the narrator indicates that the essential outlines of the various creations (sargas) have already been given briefly, and invites the listener to specify what further detail is desired about the Creator-Lord.

Bhīṣma is explicitly marked as the speaker (“bhīṣma uvāca”). The verse functions as a concise recap within a dialogue setting, typical of Purāṇic narration where sections are summarized before moving on.

The verse models disciplined inquiry and teaching: cosmological knowledge is presented in structured summaries, and the listener is encouraged to ask purposeful questions—an approach aligned with respectful learning and scriptural contemplation.
