प्रविवेशे तदा तोयं तोयाधारे धराधरः । निरीक्ष्य तं तदा देवी पातालतलमागतम्

അപ്പോൾ ധരാധരൻ (ഗിരിധരൻ) ജലത്തിൽ പ്രവേശിച്ചു—ആ ജലാധാരത്തിലേയ്ക്ക്. അവൻ പാതാളതലത്തിലെത്തിയതു കണ്ട ദേവി അപ്പോൾ നോക്കി।
