तत्प्रमाणां हि तां रात्रिं तदंते सृजते पुनः । एवं तु ब्रह्मणो वर्षमेवं वर्षशतं च तत्

അവന്റെ പകലിനൊത്ത അളവിലുള്ള രാത്രിയുമുണ്ട്; അതിന്റെ അവസാനം അവൻ വീണ്ടും സൃഷ്ടിക്കുന്നു. ഇങ്ങനെ ബ്രഹ്മാവിന്റെ ഒരു വർഷം കണക്കാക്കപ്പെടുന്നു; ഇങ്ങനെ തന്നെയാണ് അവന്റെ നൂറു വർഷവും.
